Anna L. Schwartz, Ph.D, FNP, FAAN

Dr. Schwartz is internationally known for her scholarly program of research, which focuses on exercise interventions to reduce the physical and emotional effects of cancer and treatment. Her book, Cancer fitness: Exercise programs for patients & survivors, published by Simon & Schuster, brings the science of cancer and exercise to patients, survivors, and their families.Schwartz obtained a PhD in Nursing from the University of Utah in 1997. While earning a PhD, Schwartz mentored Roger Campbell, M.S., as they developed Cancer Rehabilitation research programming, at the University of Utah. Schwartz and Campbell continued to work together, bridging the gap between cancer, exercise, research, rehabilitation program development and program duplication. Schwartz and Campbell have built 15 Cancer Rehabilitation programs together.Schwartz has received research funding from the National Institutes of Nursing Research (NINR), National Cancer Institute (NCI), Oncology Nursing Foundation, Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Initiative, and the industry. Schwartz has been recognized for her work, with numerous awards from such organizations as the American Cancer Society, the Oncology Nursing Society, and the International Research Promotion Council. Schwartz has been appointed to the Lance Armstrong Foundation and YMCA, USA Expert Panel; she is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine’s Committee on Certification and Registry Boards, and recently was recognized by the University of Florida as the Alumni of the Year. She holds three world records in bicycling and was a member of the 2003 Tour of Hope team that cycled from Los Angeles to Washington, DC, to raise awareness for cancer research
Roger K. Campbell, M.S., CET, MFT-c

Roger started his exercise science career in 1985 as an Army Master Fitness Trainer, where he physically prepared troops for combat readiness. With the GI Bill, Campbell obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science from Utah State University, followed by a Master of Science Degree from the University of Utah, in Clinical Exercise Physiology. While earning a masters degree, Campbell also served as the Health and Fitness Program Director of the Murray City Fire Department, which focused on the human performance demands of firefighters. Campbell's greatest passion however, is working for the functional restoration and independence of spine and medically complex patients. While serving with the University of Utah's Lung Transplant program, Campbell realized that greater restorative measures could be implemented to improve functional abilities of patients, and set his life focus on rehabilitation pathways and program development. Campbell spends his best energies devoted to developing, duplicating, promoting and maintaining specialized rehabilitation programs frome spine care and rehabilitation to cancer and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation programs

Additionally, Campbell is committed to the educational development of health care professionals as a serving panel member of the industries, first accredited Cancer Specialist certificatification
Kirk L. Terry, PT

Kirk, a native of Southern Utah, thrives on excellence in the clinic, on the field of play, and in the classroom. Terry is an outstanding presenter who knows how to inspire the hearts and minds of professionals and patients alike.Terry, a tremendous football enthusiast who played college football, a dream come true, has a gift for transferring commitment, insight, knowledge, and abilities to therapists, athletes and patients. Terry graduated from the University of Utah in 1983 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Therapy. Since 1983, Terry has practiced Physical Therapy with specialized training and experience in spine, foot, ankle injuries, diabetes, heart failure, cancer, pulmonary, functional capacity evaluations, ergonomics, and myofascial release for the relief of headaches. Terry enjoys tennis, hunting, and coaching youth sports

Kalleen C. Campbell, RN, BSN

Kalleen had an early interest in how the human body works. She started her health career as a hospital volunteer at the age of fourteen. Shortly after graduating from high school she began working in the clinical laboratory. This sixteen year experience brought opportunities to work with regulatory agencies such as the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), College of American Pathologists (CAP), and the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Health Organizations (JCAHO). While working for Associated Regional and University Pathologists (ARUP), she became the Point of Care trainer for nursing at the University of Utah Medical Center. Design and maintenance of databases as well as technical writing, and laboratory management were added to the repertoire
After leaving ARUP, Kalleen entered nursing school. Most of her nursing experience is with cardiovascular and pulmonary patients, with a particular interest in intensive care. She currently fills the position of Assistant Nursing Officer that requires close association with staff to meet Interqual requirements for patient admission
Kalleen exhibits a passion for self-education and providing information to as many people as possible. In one of her past lives she was a painter of walking sticks. In her next life she hopes to open a salsa shop in Oregon's Alsea River Valley
